Healthcare boards need a different longlist

Clinical credibility and commercial judgement rarely sit in the same CV. The longlist has to look in both places.

A hospital corridor in natural light

Boards in healthcare increasingly want directors who understand both the clinic and the balance sheet. Those people exist, but they are rarely found in the usual places.

We build healthcare longlists from three pools at once, clinicians who have moved into management, executives from adjacent regulated industries and investors with deep sector experience.

Reference at every level

Clinical reputation is built on the ward, not in the boardroom. We take references from colleagues several levels below each candidate, and we give them the same weight as a former chair’s view.
