A chair search is the one mandate where the board matters more than the brief.
Harriet founded Quenby & Co. in 2011 after fourteen years in the board practice of a global search firm. She leads our chair and non-executive work and still runs every chair search herself, from the first conversation with the nominations committee to the final reference.
Before search, she trained as a barrister and spent six years in corporate finance. Clients describe her as direct, patient and very hard to surprise.
How she works
Harriet meets every shortlisted candidate twice, once formally and once over a long lunch. She believes the second meeting is where the real reference begins.
